Office Policies

We want your child’s dental visits to be easy and comfortable. Here are some important policies to help you understand how we work and what to expect.

Finances

Payment is due at the time of the dental visit. We will work with you to create a treatment plan that fits your schedule and budget while giving your child the optimal care. We accept cash, checks, debit cards, and most credit cards.

Our Policy About Dental Insurance

If you bring your insurance information on the day of your appointment, we can file your claim for you. Please know your insurance benefits well because we will ask you to pay any amount your insurance does not cover.

By law, insurance companies must pay claims within 30 days after they receive them. We send all claims electronically, so your insurance company will get them quickly after your child’s visit.

Preparing for Your Visit

To help your child have a good experience, please talk with them about the visit in a positive way. You can explain that the dentist will count their teeth and make sure their smile stays healthy. Avoid using words like “hurt” or “pain” before the visit, as this can cause worry.

What to Bring to Your Appointment?

Please bring your child’s dental insurance card, any forms we have sent you, and a list of questions or concerns you want to talk about. If your child has had dental X-rays or treatment at another office, please bring those records too.

How Are Appointments Scheduled?

We try to schedule appointments when it works for you and your child. For preschool children, mornings are ideal because they are more rested, and we can take our time to make sure they feel comfortable. School-age children with a lot of dental work also do better in morning appointments. Furthermore, by keeping regular dental appointments, you can help keep school absences as low as possible.

Since we reserve appointment times just for your child, please tell us at least two business days before if you can’t make it. This way, we can offer the time to other children who need care. We understand that sometimes things come up, but your help with this is very important.

Can I Stay with My Child During Their Appointment?

You are welcome to stay with your child during their dental visit. We have seats in the treatment rooms so you can be close and help your child feel safe and calm if you want.
